Introduction
What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
There are many search engines in the world like the most famous is Google, then there is Yahoo, Bing etc. If someone wants to learn HTML in English then maybe he will type “HTML Tutorial in Bangla” and search on Google because he may not know the address of any website that has HTML Tutorial in English.
Now suppose you have a website that has HTML tutorials in English. Now, if you type “HTML Tutorial” and do a Google search, it will be better on the first page of Google. If the first link on the first page is your site, then you can be sure that the user who was searching with “HTML tutorial” must go to your site. This site is one of the first to show on Google, but there are many sites, blogs, forums, etc. that have HTML tutorials in English, the site that was shown before the site was adopted some of these strategies are called search engine optimization (SEO).
Types of SEO
There are two main types of search engine optimization or SEO –
1. On-page (which is done within the site such as title tags, content, keywords, etc. to be relevant)
2. Off-page (which is done outside the site like a blog, forum posting)
Paid search engine optimization
If you do a Google search, you will sometimes find some links in different colors (usually light brown) to the right or top of the search results (corresponding to the word you searched for). Google has to pay for these paid links. This type of optimization is called Paid SEO.
Organic search engine optimization
The links that are usually displayed on the Serch Result page mean that Google does not highlight them with any particular color. These are organic links. This type of optimization is called Organic SEO. It is also called algorithmic SEO.
SEO Term
If you want to know about search engine optimization or SEO, you need to know about its various topics or terms. Some of the important terms of SEO are – backlinks, outbound links, cloaking, etc. Below is an explanation of some important terms.
Backlink
If there is a link to your site on another site, it may be a backlink for your site. This link is a link to your site’s homepage or any other page. Backlinks are also called incoming links or inbound links.
Outbound link
An outbound link is the opposite of a backlink, meaning a link to another site if you have one. An outbound link is also called an Outgoing link.
White hat SEO
If you do SEO without breaking search engine guidelines or policies, then this kind of optimization is called white hat SEO. One of the most important of these guidelines is to create websites for people that are not for the benefit of search engines.
Other policies include backlink link popularity, keyword research, link building, etc. White hat SEO is also called Ethical SEO.
Black hat SEO
This is the opposite of white hat, meaning that it is optimized without following the rules and regulations given by the search engines. Black hat SEO techniques include keyword stuffing, cloaking, invisible text, and more. It can also be called Unethical SEO.
Keyword Stuffing
It’s part of Black Hat SEO. Keywords that users can search for by typing pages with such keywords mean keyword overloading. Often such keywords are inserted in the input tag with hidden attributes so that the text is invisible to the user and the search engine has to read it. Again, the color of the page is the same as the color of the text, so the user can not see but the search engine. Keyword stuffing is often called Keyword Loading.
Internal Link
his is a link from one page to another on your site. It is very important. For example, if you have a series of tutorials on your site, then link to the previous page with anchor text to go from one page to the next. This will act as a backlink to your site. This increases the page rank. You will see on Wikipedia site how many links per site there are in each line.
Traffic
How many times a site is being visited is the traffic of that site. The traffic of a site is increasing which means the visitors of that site are increasing.
Title Tag
The title tag is very important for a web page. Because Search Engine uses title tag to find any website. A title is the name or title of an HTML document. The title tag tells both the user and the search engine what is inside the page, meaning a title is the summary of a page. The title of the web page must be such that it does not match the title of any other page of the site, meaning the title must be unique and accurate.
Tag
The title is given to the HTML document using the <title> … </title> tag. Page titles should always be set in a way that matches the content of the page. HTML documents should not be given very large titles as this would cause a lot of unnecessary words to be added to the titles and if the titles are too big then Google will show some part of it instead of the whole. There are two things to keep in mind when it comes to title tags:
1) The number of words in the title tag should be between 40-60,
2) No other tag can be used in the title tag,
The title of the best web page should be short, relevant, and informative.
Meta Tag
One of the most important tags in SEO is the HTML meta tag. Using this meta tag, various information related to an HTML document is provided to the search engine.
Meta Description
Briefly describe what’s on the page in the “description” of the meta tag. It gives Google and all search engines an idea of what’s on this page. You can give this description in 2/3 lines. Google may use meta descriptions to summarize the content of your page. This is because the keyword that the user will search with matches directly to any part of the page content, then that part can show in the Google search results.
Meta tag tips
Here are the things to look for when selecting a website’s meta title:
- Meta titles should be limited to 155 to 160 characters,
- It is advisable to make the meta title attractive and meaningful enough,
- Meta titles need to be sorted like a summary of the original content,
- Focus keywords need to be placed 1 to 2 times in the meta title,
- You need to have at least one power word in the meta title,
- It is good to have a number in the meta title, which can be any year,
- The content of the meta title should be unique and should never be copied directly from any other website.
- Better to have a sentimental word in the meta title,
Heading Tag
We know that HTML documents have a total of 8 heading tags from h1 to h6. These tags should be specially targeted for the SEO of any website.
Importance
The text within the heading tag appears slightly larger than normal text. Follow the order of importance when using heading tags. That is, the <h1> tag for the most important title, the <h2> tag for the less important title, and the <h3> tag for the less important title, thus up to the <h6> tag.
Caution
When an article is written on a web page, it is important to include important articles in the heading tag. If an article has a few paragraphs, it is best to include a title for each paragraph with this heading tag, so that users and search engines can get an idea of what is written in that paragraph. It would never be right to give a heading that does not match the paragraph. Headings should be concise and relevant.
Never include an entire paragraph in the heading tag. It is also not good to use too many headings on a page. If there are 30 lines on a page, you should never give 10/12 lines as headings. Giving such extra headings will never give good results.
Link Structure
Site URLs or links are one of the most important factors for the SEO of a website. Create site URLs or links related to the topic.
Proper link structure
Create a link in a way that is easy and understandable. This makes it easier for both the search engine and the user to read and understand. No ID or obscure word or parameter should be used in the URL. Add words that do not use an ID or an incomprehensible parameter in the URL to give an idea of the content of the web page. Displays a space between URL, Title, and Meta Data in search results. Refrain from using session IDs or unnecessary parameters in URLs.

Note – You must refrain from using extra words in the URL.
Caution of link structure
One important thing is to have a single URL for each page or content. If the same page has more than one URL, then the search engine thinks it is a separate page, so Google Page Ranking and so on. If a page on a website has multiple URLs, then 301 redirect is a method by which all URLs can be redirected to a preferred URL. This method can be done through htsccess file. This can be done by typing the code in the htsccess file of the apache server.
This can be done by using canonical URLs in addition to the 301 redirect method. It is also bad to use lowercase letters in the URL, but it is also bad to see the small uppercase letters together and it is not Search Engine Friendly.
